Low-Smoke Awaji Island Incense, Fragrant Wood
Awaji Island incense is born from traditional incense manufacturing methods, strict quality management, and the skill and pride of the koh-shi, or incense master. Its history extends back to 1850. Today, more than 70% of Japan’s incense is produced on Awaji Island.
Each of the Awaji Island Light Smoke Incenses is created by a different koh-shi. The fragrances are very mild with almost no smoke. This incense is a good choice for those who wish to make incense offerings while limiting the amount of smoke. Low Smoke Awaji Island Incense, Fragrant Wood (114) has a mysterious scent combining sandalwood and aloeswood.
